![]() ![]() Click Replace All to replace all the optional hyphens with nothing, i.e. Optional hyphen (created automatically when words are split across lines): ^-įor example, to remove the optional hyphens, go to the Find and Replace dialogue box, enter ^- in the Find field and leave the Replace field blank. You can’t use a simple find and replace to remove these formatting symbols, but there are codes that you can enter into the Find field to find and remove them. I wanted to get rid of this extra formatting to clean up the text before importing it into my CAT tool. ![]() I recently translated a Word document that had been imported from another format and contained lots unwanted line breaks, paragraph marks and optional hyphens throughout the text. ![]()
